The Able and Willing Story
Born out of a desire to fulfill a need within the community, and to make his mark upon business, Ken Reinsch started the company in 1996 with his wife Renee in a simple red barn in Bradley, Florida. Wanting to be first in the phonebook – when that was still a thing – they established themselves as Able and Willing Small Engine Repair. They quickly outgrew the barn and purchased the old bait and tackle shop off Hwy 37 in Mulberry, FL, where we’re still located today.
Since then, we’ve added brands, hired additional mechanics, and learned the industry. Nowadays, we are a true family operation with Ken and Renee’s two children working within the company. Able & Willing now employs 5 mechanics and 2 customer service representatives. We recently built a new mechanics shop in 2020 and are looking forward to revamping our showroom and warehouse space in the near future. As owners, not only are we invested in our business, community, and our customers’ equipment, but we are also looking towards the future and ways to stay competitive, sustainable, and relatable.
